Reindeer are magnificent animals known worldwide and seeing a reindeer with your own eyes is a truly magical experience. On our reindeer farm you can meet these antlered icons of Lapland up close, get to feed them and hear about reindeer herding. Going one step further and taking a reindeer sleigh ride is even more special and something you´ll remember rest of your life. If you would like to try out some local food with us, we have couple lovely options available.
Take a look at our services, book and pay online or make an availability enquiry for any other timing presented in the webstore. Most of our activities are bookable online 24/7, and the tour cut off is 15 hours before departure. Some special programs as ice-fishing with reindeer and Kosatus – 3 hour reindeer safari to hideway cabin we arrange only on request, as well as the dinner experiences. We intend to respond for online requests within next 48 hours. You can also make an enquiry upon your arrival, but we cannot guarantee availability for late bookings.
Our winter season starts on 27.11.2023 and ends 6.4.2024.

Farm visit on your own
See the farm on your own, take pictures and feed our cute reindeer. Chance to enjoy own snacks on the fireplace.
Please, note that we don’t have fixed opening hours and due to our operating model, we rarely can offer spontaneous services for those customers, who arrive in the farm without a reservation. During the busiest season, farm visits without guiding is not possible and we only welcome customers with confirmed reservations.

KERMIKKÄ – Guided farm visit
Guided visit to our reindeer farm is an interesting insight into local life, traditional reindeer herding and Sámi culture.
Visit starts from our authentic stable exhibition where you hear stories about the farm history and reindeer herder´s everyday life. You also get to feed the reindeer in the corral and take nice pictures. Afterwards we gather to warm kota hut to enjoy cup of hot juice with homemade pastries.

Lunch tour with reindeer
Lunch tour is a diverse way to visit our reindeer farm, enjoy the sleigh ride and try out some local food.
Tour starts from the reindeer corral, where we feed the reindeer and take lovely selfies with the antlered icons of Lapland. After the feeding session we hop into the sleighs and get ready for relishing the serenity of sleeping nature. In a halfway we stop by a wilderness “lávvu” to enjoy tasty reindeer soup lunch, homemade bread and coffee with sweet buns. While enjoying the lunch, your host share interesting facts and tales about reindeer and reindeer herder´s life.
After the lunch break your host leads the reindeer caravan back to farm through the frozen swamps and forests, where you can enjoy a postcard scenery and healing silence beyond.

KUURAKKA 1/2h sleigh ride & farm visit
Let us take you to 3km reindeer sleigh ride through the frozen swamps and forests, where you can enjoy a postcard scenery and healing silence beyond.
After the calming ride, we feed the reindeer, take nice pictures and gather to warm kota hut to enjoy a cup of hot berry juice and homemade pastries. You will also hear interesting stories about reindeer herding and local culture.
Reindeer caravan is led by your farm hosts, so you may just open your senses and enjoy the serenity. Normally two persons share one sleigh. We provide wool blankets, but not winter clothing.

Are you looking for longer tour with reindeer? Roll on a warm blanket and jump into the sleigh to enjoy a tranquil reindeer adventure in the breathtaking fell sceneries and old spruce forests.
In a halfway, we arrive in our adorable hideaway cabin to enjoy hot drinks and grill sausages. While enjoying the snacks your host share interesting facts and tales about reindeer and reindeer herder´s life. After returning back to reindeer farm, you get to feed the our friendly, four-legged animals with your host.

Narraus – Icefishing and reindeer sleigh
Let our reindeer take you to ice river to experience one of the most popular leisure time activity for local´s in Lapland.
After 20 minute’s sleigh ride we arrive nearby river where you first learn the best fishing techniques and then try your fortune. If you are lucky, you get to cook your own catch on open fire and take memorable pictures to your holiday album. Before returning back to the farm, we gather around the big fire place to grill sausages and enjoy coffee with sweet pastries. At the farm you get to feed the reindeer with your host.
Please note that we reserve the right to amend the program content without notification, due to safety issues if needed. In early winter, nearby river might not have frozen properly and therefore, we might need to arrange reindeer sleigh at the farm and go for a nearby lake by car.

REPONEN – SEEKING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS WITH REINDEER
Hop into the reindeer sleigh and get ready for hunt one of most spectacular phenomenon of the nature!
Our route passes through snowy forests and open swamp areas, and you only have to concentrate on enjoying a mystical twilight from your reindeer sleigh. If we are lucky, we might not only see the twilight, but also northern lights dancing in the starry sky. In a halfway, we arrive into lávvu camp to enjoy bonfire, hot drinks, snacks and fascinating stories, alongside observing the sky. After a laid-back camp break, we let the sleigh reindeer take us back to the reindeer farm.
Northern lights might be visible anytime during dark hours from September to April. Our farm is far away from closest village lights and therefore offers an ideal place to observe the sky and spot the colorful display of Aurora Borealis. Although we cannot guarantee the northern lights, you will certainly enjoy the silence and magical nightfall above you.
